The Footladder: Prayer
In the New Testament, Jesus demonstrates the important presence of prayer in His own life. Jesus, at the request of His disciples taught them what to specifically say when praying, known as the Lord’s Prayer, Luke 11:1-4. Jesus also assures them of the effectiveness of prayer, Luke 11:9-13. At the most difficult moments of His life, when He is preparing to be arrested, filled with fear and distress, Jesus reaches for prayer to pull Him through the crisis, showing the need to pray not only once, but three times to gather the strength that God will deliver to Him, Mark 14:32-42. God continues in the Footladder of Notes Divine to deliver specific instructions, encouraging prayer to bring us to Him in order to live out our lives under His support, guidance and direction. 56 In silence do you sit Frame Me Make of yourself the Mind of Me In incandescence lies the truth of Me In silence do you sit The hereafter awaits [excerpts]
