The Footladder: God's Love For Us
Our human minds are grounded in fear, first of our selves which are guilt ridden, and then of others whom we believe feel about us the same way as we feel about ourselves. Our downing of ourselves needs to be abandoned, but it can only occur in the light of how God reveals to us His undying love of us. In Scripture this is addressed by Jesus – “Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom”, Luke 12:23. Are we worried about harsh judgment? Jesus states, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him”, John 3:17. Or God’s character makeup? Jesus states, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him”, Matt 6:8. “Be merciful just as your Father is merciful”, Luke 6:36. But you might ask is He unconditionally merciful? Jesus answers even that with, “He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked”, Luke 6:35. Need more than that? The Footladder of Notes Divine passionately confirms and expands on God’s love for us in verse after verse. 4 Wouldst not thee know of thee I sing to have and hold on angel's wing
23 Wouldst forsake thee I would not whenever would you think this what I allow Wouldst you know Me better what belies wouldst you have the truth of Me Then wouldst you know that what I am bestows blessings that I allow
315 Midst gladness reign amidst of Me Made joyful in moments of glee Made Mine in everheart One Made mine for joyful dance Made Mine to swirl and swing Made Mine for gilded wing midst beating hearts made One made One |
