Angels

1.  Do Angels exist?
I myself have not knowingly or consciously been aware of angels interacting with me. But I know other reputable people who experience their presence, and I have no reason to doubt the validity of their experience.

They certainly are mentioned in Scripture in the story of Mary giving birth to Jesus. Jesus himself says that in heaven we are like the angels.

And in the Footladder of Notes Divine, they are mentioned by God in the messages numerous times. So I do believe in the existence of angels, no matter what my personal experience is.

2. Are they here to assist and guide us or for some other purpose?
Mary, the mother of Jesus is visited by an angel who informs her of the coming of Jesus and the result of His entering into this world as our Savior. The Footladder verses mentions varying functioning of the

3. Do we each have our own Guardian Angel?
Again, it is not my personal experience of which I'm aware, but many experience it. Again, the Footladder of Notes Divine mentions "guardian angels" in the plural, and possibly people do have a specific guardian angel or angels, but it is beyond my personal knowledge.

4. Are there negative or evil angels that work against us?
People who believe in negative or evil forces apart from their own minds would have a tendency to believe that. But my own experience is that my human mind is what works against me and the awareness of my divinely created soul. The moment I lose track of my contact with God, I enter into a state of fear. I become afraid of being annihilated, be it physical annihilation, or a destruction of my ability to think well of myself. So I don't look past the human state as the cause of negative aspects or evil. I am capable of doing negative things to myself or others when I feel so threatened, in order to defend my view of myself or my existence in the human world. So it's me that works "against us".

5. Should we pray for their assistance?
I personally see nothing wrong with that. When I was in the midst of my desperation and lostness, I didn't know to pray to God, or even to pray. But the fact that I was seeking help beyond my own mind activated the divine process of healing. Praying to angels sure is a step up from my own lost position in seeking help! Automatically, such a prayer activates divine intervention with us, and the Holy Spirit will make available the best proper and relevant channel or vehicle by which we are to be in touch with God.

6. Are we related to the angels?
I would not trust my human mind or experience to know that. But, I'd sure bet that in our cosmic existence in which Jesus mentions that we are all in Him and He in us, and through that we are, like Him, one with the Father, than there must be a oneness with everything that God creates, including the angels. Make sense? Agree? Disagree?
